    it’s great how abstractions lead to different interpretations…I definitely see the color of sand and sea, but I also see a puddle with reflections…the black patches look like the reflections of tall buildings, moving in a disturbed watery surface…or the shadows of trees hanging over a rutted, sandy road. Is there actual “grit” in the light sections? Looks like real sand…
